Beavercreek's History
   by Bobbie Carpenter

A unique passion of Bobbie Carpenter has been to collect and make notes about antiques and landmarks that tell the story of Beavercreek. She has maintained quite an inventory and at the March meeting of Beavercreek Women’s League will have stories into an interpretive program to share Beavercreek’s history. If an archaeologist is a person who studies human activity and records material culture, then maybe Bobbie is our homegrown new-age archaeologist who will share facts and stories about our “settlement”— Beavercreek. It will be a great day to rejuvenate brain archives and hear stories about people and places in Beavercreek, Ohio. She has offered to “sift” through her personal treasures and the treasures of friends to bring an interesting program.

Please invite your friends. Beavercreek is a great place for business and families. Come and hear about some of the history that helped build our community.

Note: Even if Beavercreek Schools are closed or delayed and the BWL business meeting is cancelled that day, and unless there is a Level 3 Snow emergency declared, this program will be provided from 10:30-11:30 AM, for those who choose to attend.

The Beavercreek Women’s League (BWL) meets on the first Wednesday of the month from September through May at Peace Lutheran Church with a different program each month.  The mission of the group is to expand members’ knowledge of their community and beyond, to promote community service and to provide socialization.  Women of all ages and interests are welcome.  Questions can be e-mailed to beavercreekwomensleague@gmail.com  or you may leave a message at 937-985-4BWL (4295).

If Beavercreek City Schools are canceled due to inclement weather, the meeting is also canceled; however, school delays do not alter the planned meeting.
