2012 Woman in Transition Winners

All five of our 2012 WIT winners attended WSU.  They are: Ann Thompson. Theresa Larson, Barbara Chorney, Sherry Greene,  and Angel Zappanti.

2012 Beavercreek High School Scholarship Winners

This year we awarded four scholarships of $2000 each to the following young ladies. They all interviewed well and were highly recommended by the faculty members on the committee.
  • Danielle Picard plans to enroll at Sinclair and then transfer to Wright State, majoring in psychology with the goal of counseling abused teenagers. She currently works about 35 hours per week, has been on several church mission trips, and is solely responsible for paying for her education.

  • Alexandra Bergen is accepted into the Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. She is editor of Beavercreek High School newspaper, is in DIRTT, plays softball, and is active in her church.

  • Macie Smith in enrolled at Miami University and will major in zoology. She has interned at a zoo. She has been very active at BHS - golf team, musicals, cheerleader, track, student council, and network. She also works 10-15 hours per week.

  • Rachel Lopez is starting at Sinclair and will then transfer to Wright State. She is in the teacher prep program at the Career Center and wants to become a high school history teacher.
